SIA Door Supervisor Refresher

Course Duration
This qualification is typically delivered over 2 days of classroom-based training, in line with current regulatory requirements.

Learners are required to complete all guided learning hours and successfully pass the required assessments. Full attendance is mandatory.

Course Content (Key Topics)
The refresher qualification includes updated safety-critical content such as:
* Principles of terror threat awareness
* Safeguarding the public, including vulnerability and spiking awareness
* Updated physical intervention skills
* Application of physical intervention and associated risks
* Legal responsibilities and professional standards

Assessment Method
Assessment is conducted through:
* Knowledge-based multiple-choice examinations
* Practical assessment of physical intervention skills
All assessments are internally quality assured in accordance with regulatory standards.

Entry Requirements
Learners must meet the following requirements:
Learners must be 18 years of age or older.

Licence Requirement
Learners must hold a valid or recently expired SIA Door Supervisor licence.

English Language Requirement
Learners must have sufficient English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking and listening) to understand the training content and complete assessments.

Identification Requirements
Learners must present valid, original identification documents at enrolment in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Acceptable forms of identification may include:
* Passport
* UK Driving Licence (photocard)
* Biometric Residence Permit
* National Identity Card (where applicable)

All identification must be original, valid and in date.

Proof of Address
A recent proof of address (issued within the last 3 months) may be required at enrolment.
Acceptable documents may include:
* Utility Bill
* Bank Statement
* Council Tax Letter
* Official Government Correspondence

Documents must clearly display the learner’s name and current address.

Additional Requirements
Mandatory First Aid Qualification
Learners must hold a valid Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate (or equivalent), valid within the last 12 months, before undertaking this refresher qualification.
Proof of First Aid certification must be provided prior to enrolment.

Certification
Upon successful completion of the course and assessments, learners will receive a regulated qualification certificate enabling them to apply to renew their SIA Door Supervisor licence, subject to meeting all licensing criteria set by the Security Industry Authority.
